Insurance

Counselling services are not covered by OHIP; however, many employers extended health benefits will cover or partially cover the fee for a therapist that are registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Please contact your insurance company prior to engaging in counselling sessions in order to determine whether sessions will be covered.

Counselling services provided by Registered Social Workers (RSW) can be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction when you file your income tax return. In other words, Registered Social Workers are now authorized “medical practitioners” for the purpose of claiming medical expenses.

Cancellation Policy

My cancellation policy is 48 hours advance notice or the full session will be charged unless it is due to illness or an emergency. Missed appointment fees must be paid prior to the next scheduled appointment. Please give me as much notice as you can when cancelling an appointment. Consistent attendance to appointments is helpful for your care, if you are experiencing any barriers to your care please discuss with me to see if we can work together to find solutions. Your well-being is important to me.
